Wildfire potential also increasing over northwestern SD

Harding County, tucked away in northwestern SD, is also seeing dry conditions similar to those found across the west-central SD prairies. Buffalo, SD has only received 0.87" of precipitation over the past 30 days and fuel curing percentage is roughly 75% there. The notable part of Harding County is the areas of Ponderosa Pine contained within the Custer National Forest. It's not all prairie across the region and the timber is drying out as well.
